Life in quarantine (writing)

Kia Ora everyone and welcome back to my blog. This week in writing I was learning about what a complex sentence is. I learnt that a complex sentence is made up of one independent clause and one dependent clause. My create task was to make a short story about anything and include at least 4 complex sentences. My story is about  how i'm doing during quarantine. Take a look at it!

Thank you for looking at my work. Hopefully you liked my short story. How are you doing during quarantine?

Probability

Kia Ora everyone and welcome back to my blog. This week in maths my goal was make and justify the probability of events in common situations.  Use relative frequency to predict events.
My create task was to make up my own two way data table in order to predict an event. It needed to include at least 3 claims of data.

Thank you for looking at my work! Do you prefer Basketball of netball?

ANZAC

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog! This week in reading it was all about ANZAC day. I read a story called "Lest we forget". My create task was to make a DLO about the main ideas in the story, why they are important to know, and what it made me as a reader think about. I have made a Google slide. Take a look!

(If you couldn't see it here is the link to view better:  ANZAC Hopefully you can here the background music)
Thank you for looking at my work! What is the most important thing about ANZAC day to you?

Why you should use reversibility

Kia ora everyone and welcome back to my blog. Today I will be showing you my maths. This week my maths goal was to use a broad range of strategies to solve addition and subtraction problems. My task was to make a add, poster, google slide, or a screencastify to show why you think your strategy is good and why we should use it. The strategy that I was learning this week was reversibility! Take a look at my google slide.
Thank you for looking at my work. Hopefully you think reversibility is important! What is your favourite maths strategy?

What makes a good report

Kia ora everyone and welcome back to my blog. This week in writing I was working on what makes a good report. My create task was to write down what makes a good report and show my changes that I have made to make my writing better. This is mine.

Thank you for looking at my work. Hopefully you learnt something new. What do you think needs to be included in a report?

Is it real or is it fake

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog. This week in reading We were learning about how to look out for fake news. We were also seeing the difference between real and fake. Our task was to read some articles about real and fake news and then make a  infographic about our new learning. Take a look at mine.
Here is a link to see my work more clearly. Thank you for looking at my work. I hope you have learnt something. Have you ever received fake news from someone?

Equal adjustment

Equal adjustment
Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog. Today in maths my goal was to use a broad range of strategies to solve addition and subtraction problems. We then got to choose what strategy we would like to learn about. I chose to learn about equal adjustments with whole numbers. After we learnt about the strategy, we had to show how we have learnt this strategy and solve some questions. And lastly, we were told to make a screencastify about it.

Here is mine!
Thank you for looking at my work. I hope you learnt something new!
Let me know what your favourite thing to do in maths is?
