cantamath!

Talofa lava everyone and welcome back to my blog. This week for maths i did cantamath again.  This week in cantamath it was a bit different from last week. This week we were doing individual  cantamath where we had to solve all the questions our selves.

Here is a bit about what we do and how it is:

How it is:

For the last couple of weeks I have been doing cantamath. Cantamath is where you get given challenging math questions and you are racing a bunch of different teams to get all the maths questions right the fastest.

When we first started doing cantamath, I wasn't that interested in it. But after doing it for a while it's not too bad.

This week we tried out individual teams and I think I didn't do too bad. Overall I am enjoying cantamath and I don't think i'm doing too bad seeing this is my first ever year doing it.

Thank you for looking at my blog. Would you ever try cantamath?

My speech

Talofa lava everyone and welcome back to my blog. This week for writing we were finishing off our speeches. We have been working a lot on our speeches. We got to choose our speech from 4 different topics and i chose to write my speech on zero hunger. we didn't really have a create task this week but we do have to show a couple of our favourite paragraphs from our speech.

Here is a bit of my speech:

The reason I like these 2 paragraphs is because I think it is important to know about what is happening when people don't get food but i also think it is important to know how we can help towards this.

Thank you for looking at my blog. What is another way you could help with this situation?

What is a quality blog comment?

Kia Ora everyone and welcome back to my blog. During cyber smart, We have been learning about what a quality blog post and blog comment is.  The reason we were learning this is because it is important to know the difference between a good and bad blog comment. We need to know this so that we can write good blog comments on each others blogs.

Here is what we have done:

After learning about this, we have new leanings. We now know the
difference between a good and bad blog comment. Some comments that we thought were good are actually not. So this has definitely helped us a lot.

Do you do / ever have done cyber smart, if so do you/ did you enjoy it?

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog. This week in reading our goal was:  Use questions to challenge the text, question the author, establish the authenticity of the text and state opinions. Think while reading, pick up new information, and come up with new ideas and new thinking. Our create task was to pick a persuasive text and then make a screencastify about our connections and thoughts about it. The book I chose to read was called: Why kids shouldn't eat junk food.
